Venture north into the wild, untamed heart of Jasper National Park — the largest dark sky preserve in the world and one of Canada’s most awe-inspiring wilderness destinations. Our full-day private Jasper tour immerses you in a landscape of thundering waterfalls, mirror-still mountain lakes, and some of the best wildlife viewing in the Canadian Rockies.
Less visited than Banff, Jasper offers a more rugged and remote experience, with vast valleys, dramatic canyon scenery, and the kind of silence that reminds you just how vast and wild the natural world truly is.
Athabasca Falls
Despite not being the tallest waterfall in the Rockies, Athabasca Falls is one of the most powerful and dramatic. The Athabasca River thunders through a narrow gorge carved from ancient quartzite bedrock, creating a spectacular and deafening display of natural force. Walking trails and viewpoints allow you to experience the falls from multiple perspectives.
Maligne Lake
The crown jewel of Jasper National Park, Maligne Lake is the second largest glacially fed lake in the world. Stretching 22 kilometres through the mountains, its vivid colour and dramatic setting are extraordinary. The iconic view of Spirit Island — a tiny forested island surrounded by turquoise water and towering peaks — is one of the most reproduced images in Canadian tourism.
Spirit Island
Accessible by boat cruise from the Maligne Lake dock (seasonal, additional cost), Spirit Island is one of the most photographed scenes in Canada. The combination of the tiny island, the glowing turquoise lake, and the ring of mountains creates a scene of almost surreal beauty.
Medicine Lake
Known as the ‘disappearing lake,’ Medicine Lake is a fascinating natural phenomenon. Its water level fluctuates dramatically throughout the year as the lake drains through an underground cave system — one of the largest known underground river systems in North America.
